AN UNEMPLOYED concreter whose assault on a boy was filmed and uploaded onto social media has been jailed.

Denziel Munro-Johnson, 20, appeared before Armidale Local Court on Monday, September 29, pleading guilty to three charges of affray and one of reckless wounding.

The court heard the assault stemmed from simmering tensions over a prior incident at Armidale Secondary College, "a significant time ago".

According to police documents, on Saturday, March 8, Munro-Johnson confronted a group of young people at the Armidale Show, saying, "You jumped my little brother," before a fight broke out.

Police claimed a fight ensued before the parties separated.

The court heard that a short time later, [Munro-Johnson] encountered the group again on Kennedy Street, and started a second fight.
