The Format have formalized their comeback with a new album, Boycott Heaven , out January 23rd, 2026, via their own The Vanity Label. As a first preview, the indie pop band has released their new single, “Holy Roller.” Stream it below.

The reunion album is the duo of Nate Reuss (of fun. fame) and Sam Means’ first full-length since 2006’s Dog Problems . Produced by Brendan O’Brien (Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen, The Killers), the project features O’Brien on bass and Matt Chamberlain on drums.

A press release describes the album as being “filled with existential protest songs, power chord-driven rockers, love letters to family and friendship, and a persistent belief in the possibility of something better.” Pre-orders are ongoing. Related Video
