NEW ORLEANS — The Chief Meteorologist at WDSU has been arrested following an altercation with a girlfriend.

According to Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office arrest records, Devon Lucie was arrested on a charge of Domestic Abuse with a child under 13 present. Few details are available about the situation that led to his arrest. He was booked in the Jefferson Parish Jail on Sunday.

WDSU would not comment on the arrest, but according to the station's website, "Lucie has been placed on leave pending the investigation."

In August, Lucie was named WDSU’s Chief Meteorologist. He joined their weather team in 2021 and succeeded longtime Chief Meteorologist Margaret Orr, who retired in 2024 after 45 years with WDSU.
