AGGRAVATED ASSAULT

COAL TRAIN ROAD: A 43-year-old man was arrested for aggravated assault Friday night. A 58-year-old man said the 43-year-old tried to kill him with a knife. Deputies responded to the home, and the caller was drunk. They found the suspect, who was even more drunk, asleep in bed. The two men had been drinking tequila in the dining room and were arguing about family. The suspect chased the victim around the table with a white-handled 8-inch filet knife. The victim then called 911, and the suspect placed the knife on the table and went to bed, said Undersheriff Quentin Reynolds. The 43-year-old was taken to jail for aggravated assault.
