CHEROKEE COUNTY, Iowa (KTIV) - The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office in Northwest Iowa is investigating two possible child abductions that took place in recent weeks.

The sheriff’s office began its investigation after it received a report of a possible child abduction attempt that had taken place at Cleghorn City Park in Cleghorn, Iowa, around 3 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30th.

According to the sheriff’s office, two children, ages 10 and 4, were playing at the park when a pick-up, driven by a dark-skinned man with dirty blonde hair and possibly a mustache, wearing a black hoodie, offered the kids candy. He then tried to pick up the 4-year-old when the child showed interest in the candy, but left the area after the 10-year-old intervened and the kids ran home. The children told authorities
