ANGLETON, Texas — The Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office says Oninda Romelus, 31, is in custody after deputies say she shot her four children early Saturday morning , killing two of them and injuring two others.
During a Sunday news conference, Sheriff Bo Stallman said Romelus called 911 around 4:48 a.m. Saturday, asking deputies to come to a gas station on Highway 288-B near FM 521 in the Angleton area. When deputies arrived, they found four children who had been shot and immediately began lifesaving measures until medical help arrived.
"Brazoria County deputies responded to an unthinkable, unimaginable tragedy," Sheriff Stallman said.
Investigators said Romelus is accused of shooting her children inside a vehicle, though they don’t believe the gas station is where the shooting took plac
