A Peterborough man charged in the shooting death of Sarah King, 36, at a homeless encampment has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder.

Jonathan Murphy was originally charged with first-degree murder and his case was set to go to trial this month , but on Monday morning, the accused, through his lawyer Ari Goldkind, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder before Justice Clyde Smith.
