Hurricanes fans hoping to take a trip to Columbia, South Carolina, next year will have to change their plans.

UM and South Carolina mutually agreed to cancel the home-and-home series scheduled for 2026 and 2027, the schools announced Monday. Miami would have played at South Carolina next year, and the Gamecocks were scheduled to come to South Florida in 2027.

The move to cancel the pair of games comes as both the ACC and SEC move to a nine-game conference schedule , limiting the opportunities for non-conference games.

Miami has three non-conference games scheduled for next year: home games against Florida A&M and Central Michigan and a road game against rival Notre Dame, which UM beat at Hard Rock Stadium in the season opener in August.
