WILLIAMSTON, Mich. (WILX) -The Detroit Tigers’ current major league baseball playoff run has fans excited about a winning streak that takes them all the way to the World Series.
Helping to ramp up the excitement is a school bus driver from Williamston, who has been driving the Tiger fan bandwagon all season long.
Todd Walter is doing his part to keep Detroit Tiger history alive.
“If you were born and raised in Michigan, this team is part of us,” Walter says.
Over the past 24 years he has collected framed newspaper clippings of Tiger greats, dozens of autographed baseballs and miscellaneous memorabilia... most of it highlighting the 1968 and ’84 world series championship teams.
He travels the state, sharing his collection and knowledge with fellow Tiger enthusiasts.
