HAYDEN LAKE, Idaho — The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a fisherman found a dead body in Hayden Lake over the weekend.

The sheriff's office says a fisherman reported a body floating in Hayden Lake near Henry Point on Sunday, Oct. 5, around 11 a.m.

Deputies with the sheriff's office deployed a drone to locate the body and then used a boat to recover it.

KCSO says preliminary investigation indicates no sign of foul play. The cause of death is under investigation.

The sheriff's office says the identity of the victim is not being released as deputies work to notify the family.
