Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has commenced testing at its factories in preparation for the resumption of some production, as it continues to bounce back from a cyber attack. The British car manufacturer has announced that certain sections of its manufacturing will "resume in the coming days".

This follows BBC reports suggesting that initial production will recommence at its engine factory in Wolverhampton this week. While the company has not confirmed when manufacturing will fully restart, it emphasised that it is keeping workers, retailers and suppliers updated.

A JLR spokeswoman stated on Monday: "As the controlled, phased restart of our operations continues, we are taking further steps towards our recovery and the return to manufacture of our world-class vehicles."
