A man was killed while another man was injured in a double stabbing in Philadelphia Monday afternoon.

The incident occurred at 12:57 p.m. on the 1100 block of West Rockland Street. A 56-year-old man was stabbed multiple times throughout his body while a 34-year-old man was stabbed in the hand and wrist, police said.

The 56-year-old man was taken to the Einstein Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 2:11 p.m. The 34-year-old man was treated at the scene by a medic.

Police said a 38-year-old man was arrested in connection to the double stabbing and weapons were recovered. They have not yet released the identities of the victim or the suspect.
