Off-duty deputy’s rifle stolen while he dined at pub, homeless suspect found in hiding

KALAMAZOO, MI — A homeless man was arrested after he allegedly stole a a rifle belonging to an off-duty deputy who was dining inside a pub.

The incident led to a policy change within the sheriff’s office.
