MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A lounge in Mobile has responded after a weekend shooting at the establishment took the life of one and injured four others.

The shooting occurred around 11 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, at Poinse's Lounge on Navco Road.

The statement, posted to Facebook on Oct. 5, reads:

"We at Poinse's Lounge, a new lounge in our community, are devastated by the senseless act of violence that took place at our establishment.

Our hearts go out to the victims, their families, and everyone affected by this tragic event. The safety and well-being of our guests and staff have always been and will remain our top priority.

We are fully cooperating with law enforcement as they conduct a thorough investigation. Moving forward, we are evaluating all of our safety protocol
