UPDATE: The Chattanooga Police Department has arrested 64-year-old David Taylor in connection with two weekend attempted bank robberies, along with another robbery on Monday.
Taylor was taken into custody without incident after returning to one of the banks involved in Saturday’s robberies. Investigators say he pointed a firearm at tellers and demanded money during the two incidents on October 4 and again on October 6.
Police say tips from the public helped identify Taylor after surveillance images were shared through local media.
He’s currently charged with Aggravated Robbery for the October 6 robbery, with additional charges pending for the October 4 robbery and attempted robbery. Taylor is being held at the Hamilton County Jail and Detention Center.
