Sunny skies and warm temperatures early this week will give way to a cooldown and potentially some light rain just in time for the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
Monday and Tuesday will be characterized by warm offshore winds that will gust from between 20 mph to 30 mph at the region's highest elevations.
"The bay shoreline is expected to hit the low- to upper-80s and potentially 90s in hot spots like Redwood City," said Weather Service meteorologist Roger Gass.
Inland areas of the East Bay, like Livermore and Concord, are expecting upper 80s and lower 90s on Tuesday, as are certain areas in Santa Cruz County.
San Francisco could top out in the mid- to upper-80s in the southeast neighborhoods, like the Mission and Bayview districts.
