INDIANAPOLIS — Kicking the Stigma took a moment last weekend to remember Jim Irsay.
For the fourth consecutive year, the organization founded by the Irsay family held its “Beyond the Sidelines” fundraiser in Indianapolis, raising more than $1.1 million for action grants that support nonprofits and organizations that raise awareness about mental health or provide mental health services.
But this edition of the “Beyond the Sidelines” was a little different.
“This year, obviously, is particularly meaningful because it’s dedicated to our dad,” Kalen Jackson said. “A short four months ago, we lost our dad, and so many of you here lost their dear friend. The state of Indiana lost one of its biggest supporters, and the world lost an authentically, perfectly imperfect soul.”
