OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - “Wrong again smh !”

That’s the caption on the video Qasim Shabazz Asad posted to Facebook on Monday in reaction to comments made earlier in the day by Omaha Police Chief Todd Schmaderer at a news conference held in the aftermath of a police officer’s shooting.

Both the chief and Mayor John Ewing Jr. went to see Officer Steven Murcek in the hospital after he was shot at a gas station Monday morning . Police arrested 36-year-old Shedrick Mills shortly after the incident.

During his update with local news media about the officer-involved shooting, Schmaderer also commented on the criticism the Omaha Police Department has received in the aftermath of a traffic stop on boxing champion Terence “Bud” Crawford.
