Halloween has officially arrived in Sin City.
Like in 2024, the Sphere has ushered in spooky season with a mesmerizing display of a jack-o’-lantern, one that could easily pass as the evil twin of the famed "Halloweentown" gourd.
A Sphere superfan, who posts regular updates about the music and entertainment arena, documented the orb's transformation into a giant pumpkin on Sunday, Oct. 5.
"Your nightly Vegas Sphere moment," the user wrote. "The return of Halloween!"
What else has the Las Vegas Sphere displayed?
The Sphere's high-resolution LED screen has displayed numerous characters and designs over the years, including a snow globe, an American flag, an eyeball, a basketball, fireworks, NFL team helmets, bats and even the planet we earthlings call home.
Most of the displays for the 516-feet-wide and 366-feet-tall orb are tied to a theme, like "The Wizard of Oz," or a specific time of year, like July Fourth.
“Wizard of Oz at Sphere,” an interactive experience that makes customers feel like they’re in the 1939 classic film of the same name, is generating $2 million a day, according to a Sept. 4 report by Wolfe Research, which USA TODAY reviewed.
According to Architectural Digest, the Sphere cost $2.3 billion to build. The attraction is owned by the Sphere Entertainment Company, which is led by billionaire James Dolan, who also owns the New York Knicks professional basketball team.
