SPOKANE, Wash. -- Police arrested a man on Sunday accused of setting a man on fire in downtown Spokane in September, according to Spokane Police Department.
Around 3:30 p.m. on October 5, SPD arrested 57-year-old Dupree L. Meadows for setting a man on fire near the Browne Street viaduct on September 17.
SPD said the investigation was challenging as the survivor of Meadows' attack was severely injured and unable to provide police with much information.
SPD worked with Seattle Police Department to identify Meadows. He was arrested near 3rd Avenue and Florida Street.
Meadows was booked into Spokane County Jail on first-degree assault and first-degree arson. He is currently being held on a $100,000 bond.
SPD did not specify if Meadows knew his victim or what led to the assault.
