A former Eagles coach was heavily fined for his controversial sideline outburst on Sunday.
Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon was fined $100,000 by the franchise for his sideline altercation with running back Emari Demercado on Sunday, according to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter .
The former Eagles defensive coordinator ripped into Demercado after the back dropped the ball before crossing the goal line on what would have been a 72-yard touchdown run. Demercado’s mistake was a costly one as the Titans came back to beat the Cardinals, 22-21.
In a video on social media, Demercado was shown being consoled by left tackle Paris Johnson Jr. on the sideline. That’s when Gannon walked up to the running back, got in his face, continued his rant and appeared to make contact with the play
