AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Cumbee Center in Aiken County is broadening its services this October for individuals impacted by domestic violence and sexual abuse, in recognition of Domestic Abuse Awareness Month.

The organization, established in 1979, supports domestic violence and sexual violence victims and their families.

Local domestic violence victims honored at S.C. State House

Attorney General Alan Wilson led participants through the 28th annual Silent Witness Ceremony on Tuesday at the South Carolina State Capitol Complex.

The Cumbee Center offers a host of free programs and services, including the following:

Counseling

Safety Planning

Legal Advocacy

Support Groups
