MASON COUNTY, Ky. (FOX 56) — The Robertson County sheriff was arrested Tuesday after allegedly driving under the influence.

Kentucky State Police told FOX 56 that Mason County deputies arrested Sheriff Terry Gray.

The Mason County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation.

Gray has a history of impaired driving.

In December 2023, he was arrested after a drunken dispute outside a school. Then, in August 2024, troopers said he was caught driving his farm tractor intoxicated.

Gray entered Alford pleas in both cases — avoiding jail time by agreeing to rehab and staying out of trouble.

Tuesday's arrest could put that agreement in jeopardy.

He was booked into the Mason County Detention Center and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving,
