GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - The Grand Island Target held its ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday.
Many residents in Grand Island have wanted a Target for some time, and for those resident who have been watching the transformation at the Conestoga Mall, Tuesday was an exciting day to finally go inside and shop.
“I do shop at Targets when I am elsewhere in the state or out of state, and so, having one right here in my own backyard is just awesome,” said Tonja Browr, a resident of Grand Island.
The building is 148,000 square feet, one of the largest in the state. The building also has 150 parking spots surrounding it.
Target is also employing 164 team members and is still hiring.
Store director Eryn Larsen said she is excited to help bring a new shopping experience to Grand Island while m
