FORT WORTH, Texas — Questions and concerns about public safety filled a packed room Tuesday morning during the Beyond the Badge meeting in Fort Worth.

The gathering at police headquarters brought together police, city officials, and community leaders — and it was the first for new Fort Worth Police Chief Eddie Garcia, who assured those in attendance that he has a plan to address the city’s recent violence.

“We know, from a violent crime perspective, you know, there’s things that don't show up in data,” Garcia said.
