Elias Gomez, a 29-year-old singer originally from Havana, Cuba, who now calls Cincinnati home, has secured a spot on "The Voice" after impressing judges with his performance of "Lonely Teardrops" by Jackie Wilson.
Before his audition aired Tuesday, Gomez performed live at the Red Leprechaun at the Banks, where he expressed gratitude for the support he has received from the Cincinnati community. Advertisement
"I'm super thankful for all the support that Cincinnati has shown," Gomez said. "Because even though I wasn't necessarily born here, I know that a lot of people enjoy my music, come to my shows and enjoy the little bit of difference that I can bring."
