Collingwood are considering changing their best and fairest voting system after Brownlow Medal runner-up Nick Daicos came second in the Magpies’ Copeland Trophy to Darcy Cameron.
Cameron had a career-best season in 2025, earning All-Australian squad selection and running second only Melbourne ruck Max Gawn for a spot in the final 22.
But his Copeland Trophy win was still a shock, given the dominance of Daicos, who many thought would be a certainty for the Brownlow until he was pipped by Gold Coast’s Matt Rowell.
Cameron won the Magpies’ top gong on 328 votes, 13 clear of Daicos on 315, while Isaac Quaynor, Jamie Elliott and Harry Perryman rounded out the top five.
