PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A man has been arrested and charged in connection with the assault of a U.S. Postal Service worker in the Frankford section of Philadelphia.
Police say Fabian Colon, 25, was taken into custody and is facing multiple charges, including aggravated assault, robbery, theft by unlawful taking, simple assault, and related offenses. The incident occurred Saturday afternoon while the postal worker was making deliveries on the 4600 block of Horrocks Street.
According to investigators, Colon approached the worker while the mail truck was blocking the road. He allegedly attempted to move the vehicle himself, prompting the 23-year-old postal worker to take the keys. Police say Colon then physically assaulted the worker and grabbed her phone.
