CLE ELUM, Wash. – Travelers have reason to celebrate as Blewett Pass has reopened.

This marks the first reopening since its closure on September 21st due to the ongoing Labor Mountain Fire in Central Washington.

Drivers should be aware that fire response efforts are still active in the area.

There will be pilot car operations and a reduced speed zone between mileposts 165 and 178, which include Upper Tronson Creek Road and Ingalls Creek Road.

Travelers planning to drive through should expect delays. The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) advises drivers not to pass or turn off the road when following a pilot car.
