Aussies have flocked to a Melbourne op shop after an avid local thrift shopper stumbled across "a piece of Australian TV history".

Rebecca Brewin was in This N That Community Op Shop Forest Hill when she unearthed a mountain of props and treasures from the iconic Aussie soap opera Neighbours .

"I've seen some stuff in my time at the op shop but I have never seen anything like this," Rebecca said in a video posted to Instagram .

After taking her discovery online, fellow Neighbours fans were outraged with some saying the items "should be in a museum".
