UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer arrived in Mumbai earlier today at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. He was received by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, and Governor Acharya Devvrat.

Starmer is officially visiting India for the first time; he will be here for two days. During the visit, Starmer will hold key meetings with senior Indian government ministers and business leaders to deepen bilateral trade and diplomatic relationships that will benefit all parts of the United Kingdom and India.

Starmer is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday, following the signing of the historic India-UK Free Trade Agreement in July. The two leaders will meet at the Raj Bhavan in Mumbai
