An Aussie mum and daughter are looking to move into a houseshare after being priced out of their Queensland home.
Bridie Grundy , 20, and her mum lived minutes from Burleigh Beach on the Gold Coast a few years ago, but were forced out of the area when rents soared.
They rented a two-bedroom house with a backyard for $400 a week before an influx of interest in the area led to unaffordable rent increases.
Bridie and her mum moved to the Gold Coast's northern suburbs, near Coomera, in a bid to save money, but they struggled to adjust to their new commute.
The 20-year-old explained that what should be a 15-minute drive on the highway, can take almost an hour due to traffic.
