Two area officials from Monroe and Battle Creek were honored for their outstanding contributions to public service during the Michigan Municipal League ’s Board of Trustees Dinner.

Monroe Mayor Robert E. Clark received the Michael A. Guido Leadership and Public Service Award, while Battle Creek Commissioner Jenasia Morris was recognized with the Emerging Leader Award, according to a community announcement.

Clark expressed his gratitude for the recognition, emphasizing the collaborative efforts of his team and community.
