(Bismarck, ND) — Nicholas Chase has been confirmed as the next U.S. Attorney for North Dakota. The U.S. Senate confirmed Chase after five months of partisan stalemate. He was recommended by U.S. Senators John Hoeven and Kevin Cramer and appointed by President Trump in May. Chase has previously served as Acting U.S. Attorney and left the position when then-Governor Doug Burgum appointed him to serve as a North Dakota District Court Judge in Fargo in 2022. Chase now returns to run the U.S. Attorney’s office for the District of North Dakota, where he worked for more than two decades.
