Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine will announce what actions he'll take against intoxicating hemp products such as THC-infused drinks and gummies sold at gas stations, bars and other shops across the state.

DeWine will hold a 2:30 p.m. press conference on Oct. 8 in downtown Columbus, his office announced. He could sign an executive order to crack down on the sale of THC infused drinks and gummies.

Hearing rumors of an potential ban, retailers scrambled to sell off their inventories on Oct. 7.

"We actually want good regulations: age limits, milligram caps, proper retail licensing. That's all reasonable. But this sudden ban will hurt small businesses, retailers and manufacturers," Columbus-based The Rambling House said in a post to Instagram .
