BEXLEY, Ohio — Circleville High School sophomore Rebekah Shackleford brought home a big win over the weekend, finishing first place overall in the “Girls Run the City” 5K held Sunday, October 5, in Bexley.

Shackleford, 15, who runs cross country for Circleville High School, finished the race with an impressive time of 26 minutes and 12 seconds , earning:

1st Place Overall (out of 58 runners)

1st Place in Gender (out of 53)

1st Place in her age group (F 15–19)

The annual “Girls Run the City” 5K, presented by Avina Women’s Care , celebrates women’s health and empowerment while raising funds for March of Dimes and Special Olympics Ohio . Free women’s health screenings were also offered on-site during the event.
