For the second time since the inception of the League title, the Lady Spartans tennis team took home the League champion honors after a great showing in Junction City on Oct. 7. It has been 20 years since Emporia High took the Centennial League title, and they look to build off that momentum with Regionals right around the corner.
The overall results for the Lady Spartans saw their number one doubles team, Peyton Chanley and Kinsley Hines, secure first place at the tournament. Chelsea Mendez and Alexa Tovar would place in eighth to round out the doubles results. On the singles side, Kali Keough continues to be consistent, placing second at the event, and Izabella Hinst placed eighth.
