New York Mayor Eric Adams met with Albania's Prime Minister Edi Rama in Tirana on Wednesday, as part of a four-day trip to the Balkan nation.
In a joint briefing, Adams and Rama discussed stronger cooperation in tourism and technology, with Adams saying he would push for a direct flight from New York to Albania.
The New York mayor also praised Albania's development since the turn of the century.
"You're seeing a thriving community and city moving in the right direction," he said of the capital, Tirana.
“You’re seeing a thriving community…and a minister understanding the role AI is going to play in the future,” he added.
