New Delhi: India is now talking about 6G with the same energy that it once spoke about 5G. At the India Mobile Congress 2025, communications minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said the country’s leap into the next era of mobile connectivity could add more than a trillion dollars to the economy within the next decade. The statement comes at a time when India is trying to move beyond just using technology built elsewhere.

Scindia told the audience at the International 6G Symposium that the numbers were staggering. “By 2035, these value additions with the help of 6G are projected to add a staggering 1.2 trillion dollars to India’s GDP,” he said.
