A group of Motherwell travel agents have raised much-needed funds for a spina bifida charity after organising a ladies’ afternoon tea. ‌

The event, organised by the team at Hays Travel Motherwell, was held at the Best Western Moorings hotel and raised a whopping £1800 for Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland. ‌

Over 50 guests were treated to an indulgent afternoon tea, along with a raffle and some games. ‌

Hays Travel Motherwell’s assistant manager, Nicole Carroll, said: “We chose this charity as it’s very close to my family. My husband has spina bifida, and his mum has been actively involved with the charity for over 30 years. It was also important to us to support an organisation that does so much for families and creates a real sense of community and support.”
