Jammu, Oct 8: DDC Suchetgarh and senior Congress leader Taranjit Singh Tony Wednesday asked the PWD Superintending Engineer Ashwani Sharma to repair roads damaged in Jammu floods on priority.

In this connection, he particularly referred to the badly damaged road near Old Railway Phatak in Ward No 54, which had deteriorated further due to recent floods in Jammu.

Earlier, acting on public complaints, in a swift and proactive move, Tony with a delegation called on PWD SE Ashwani Sharma and apprised him of the poor condition of the stretch.

Responding immediately, the SE directed XEN and AEE of the department to visit the site, assess the damage, and carry out urgent patchwork and repair work without delay.
