A Pontiac woman with a history of drunk driving and other crimes is facing felony charges for a fatal hit-and-run crash last month that led to the death of a motorcyclist and serious injuries to his passenger.
The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said Leeann Jean Darling, 36, is accused of disregarding a traffic signal at the Woodward Avenue – Perry Street intersection where the GMC Terrain she was driving was then struck by a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle shortly before 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 1. The motorcycle operator, Jack Leverne Turnblom, 49, of Fenton, was transported to an area hospital and died that night. Turnblom’s 44-year-old passenger was hospitalized for injuries and has since recovered.
