New Mexico State coach Tony Sanchez is one of the lowest-paid coaches in Conference USA, according to an analysis of the USA TODAY College Football Coaches Salary Database .

The database includes salaries for 11 of the conference's coaches. Delaware said its athletics department is not supported by public money, so coach Ryan Carty's contract is not subject to records requests.

Sanchez is making $625,000 this season. Out of the 11 CUSA contracts USA TODAY obtained, only Missouri State coach Ryan Beard has a lower wage than Sanchez at $450,000.

Sanchez's 2025 salary is lower than both coaches at NM State's rivals, New Mexico's Jason Eck ($1.15 million) and UTEP's Scotty Walden ($801,000).
