Texas National Guard troops were seen walking through the Army Reserve Training Center in Elmwood, Illinois, on Tuesday, Oct. 7, according to photos captured by Reuters and AFP. A Pentagon official told Reuters on Tuesday that 200 troops from Texas had arrived in Illinois as part of a mission to protect "federal functions, personnel and property."
