Srinagar, Oct 08: Security forces have launched a large-scale search operation in the dense forests of Kokernag in Anantnag district to track down terrorists believed to be hiding in the area, officials said on Wednesday.

The operation, which began two days ago in the Ahlan Gadole area, was initiated following specific intelligence inputs indicating the presence of a terrorist group.

“The operation is being conducted with utmost caution and in close coordination between the Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and paramilitary forces,” a senior security official said.
