GEORGETOWN, Ill. (WAND) - A 27-year-old man formerly from Georgetown has been sentenced to 18 years in prison for charges related to the sexual assault of a child.

According to the Vermilion County State's Attorney, on October 1, Logan Black pleaded guilty to predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, which is classified as a Class X felony.

On Wednesday, he was sentenced to 18 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, with the possibility of serving 85% of that time. Following his imprisonment, Black will be required to complete a term of mandatory supervised release, which can range from 3 years to life.
