Spencer Anderson can remember the first time he was asked to block Browns defensive end Myles Garrett one on one. It was last season in Cleveland, when Anderson reported as eligible on a two-point attempt.

When Anderson got to the line of scrimmage, Garrett was positioned directly over him and he knew what might be coming. Quarterback Russell Wilson checked to a man-on-man protection at the line of scrimmage, and Anderson only had seconds to react.

“It was five-down protection. Everybody had to man up,” Anderson said. “I heard Russ say, ‘Can.’ I counted one, two, three, four — oh, that’s me.”

Garrett, along with his Steelers counterpart T.J. Watt, is among this generation’s greatest pass rushers, and he commands an uncommon respect from his peers.
