Arturo Gatti Jr ., the son of late International Boxing Hall of Famer Arturo Gatti , has died at the age of 17, actor and stuntman, Chuck Zito , who worked as his father's bodyguard, confirmed in a post shared on his Instagram account on Wednesday (October 8).
The younger Gatti was reportedly found dead by suicide in his apartment, which Zito acknowledged was similar to his father, who died by suicide 16 years prior.
"It's with a heavy heart that I have to say,.... R.I.P. to 17-year-old ARTURO GATTI JR. who was found hanging in an apartment in Mexico yesterday. The same way they found his Father dead in an apartment in Brazil 16 years ago," Zito wrote. "My condolences to Arturo Gatti Seniors - Mom, Sisters, Brothers, and his daughter Sophia."
Gatti's longtime coach, Moe Latif ,
