A Canada-wide arrest warrant has been issued for a man accused of money laundering and fraud-related offences involving millions of dollars.
The RCMP Federal Policing Northwest Region’s Integrated Market Enforcement Team (IMET) in Calgary has charged 41-year-old Mark Douglas Alexander with: • Laundering proceeds of crime,
Laundering proceeds of crime, • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and
Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and • Fraud over $5,000.
Fraud over $5,000.
Police allege Alexander, founder and president of Canadian Wealth Strategies (CWS) Capital, misappropriated more than $10 million in investor funds. The former Edmonton-based company purported to be a foreign exchange trading business operating internationally.
