ALLEN PARK — All-Pro Detroit Lions receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown was not at practice to begin the week of preparation for Sunday’s primetime game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

St. Brown is the team’s most important and reliable skill position player, so it’s certainly bad news that he’s not available to start the week. But he wasn’t the only one absent at Wednesday’s practice. Cornerback Terrion Arnold (shoulder), safety Kerby Joseph (knee), linebacker Zach Cunningham (hamstring), offensive tackle Taylor Decker (shoulder) and running back Sione Vaki (groin) were all absent.

Lions defensive back Brian Branch, who briefly exited Sunday’s game at Cincinnati to have tape put on his lower leg, was limited with an ankle injury.
